Music Gear Direct is part of the MGD Group which was formed in 2009, the team behind the business started their careers many years before as part of the Carlsbro Sound Group which ultimately became the Academy of Sound.
We are dedicated to providing quality PA Systems, Audio Products, Sound Equipment and Effects Lighting to Touring Musicians, Entertainers, Conferencing, Schools and Colleges, Fitness Clubs and Leisure Centres, Pubs, Clubs, Hotels, Restaurants, Theatres, Houses of Worship and Churches - in fact anyone who needs to be heard!

Located in the heart of the country
All of the items displayed on our website can be purchased online and delivered conveniently to your door, no matter where you are in the UK. But, if you really want to see our products in person to capture the feel and sound, then you are more than welcome to visit us at our Nottingham based facility. We have ample free parking and are more than happy to answer any questions or demonstrate any of our products.
The showroom and demonstration facility is open from Monday – Friday between 9.30am and 4.00pm. If you want to book a demonstration outside of these hours this can be arranged by prior appointment. We are based at the new IKEA Complex on the Giltbrook Trade and Industrial Park (opposite Screwfix) on the outskirts of Nottingham about 2 miles from junction 26 of the M1.

Audio Visual Installation Services
As part of the MGD group we also have Music Gear Installations in addition to Music Gear Direct. Music Gear Installations is made up of highly experienced Audio Visual installation experts who regularly install sound and lighting systems across the UK including Clubs, Bars, Houses of Worship, Restaurants, Car Dealerships, Hotels, Wedding Venues Schools, Leisure centres and much more.

You can still buy online and have you order sent directly to your home address carriage free or collect and pay at the store by appointment only.
